The foundation we've built together represents the beginning of a major disruption in how Armenian content reaches the hearts and minds of young readers—and the transformation has just begun.
Building a Foundation: 2025 Achievements
Three developments this year demonstrate the momentum building across our community of educators.
Children’s Illustrated Book Series: A New Library Takes Shape
Beginning in March, we launched our Children’s Illustrated Books initiative with support from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, publishing one new title each week and bringing our total number of illustrated books into 45 titles by year’s end. These new titles span +7 distinct series designed for ages 4 and up, each crafted to support progressive language development while maintaining the narrative engagement young readers need. Classroom Adoption: Schools Join the Movement
Your adoption of Vlume and the new materials exceeded our expectations. School participation grew by 250% in 2025 alone, affirming both the genuine need for comprehensive Armenian literary resources and our ability to meet it.
If your school wishes to participate in our program, applications remain open until February 2026.
Vlumeeg Portal: A Global Community Emerges
The introduction of Vlumeeg as a dedicated portal brought together more than 1,200 educators worldwide—a community united by the conviction that Armenian language vitality begins in the classroom.
Why Vlumeeg matters? Beyond cataloging resources, Vlumeeg serves as our live portal where teachers across the global network share classroom experiences and exchange practical strategies to strengthen students' reading engagement. Increasingly, we’ll use this platform to gather real-time feedback from educators as we develop new projects, explore emerging topics, and test innovative methodologies—ensuring that what we create reflects the evolving needs of your classrooms.
Looking Ahead: What's Coming in 2026
We're excited about 2026 because it brings tools that level the playing field for early readers—ensuring every child, regardless of starting point, can develop genuine passion for Armenian reading.
Embedded Dictionaries: Reading Without Interruption
February brings integrated dictionaries within our children’s books. When young readers encounter unfamiliar words, they can access definitions without leaving the page—fostering the self-dependency and sustained attention that confident readers require.
Narrate for Me: Books That Speak
By first half of the year, we launch our talking books as a special feature for children books. Professional narrators will read each story while highlighting individual words synchronously, creating a multisensory reading experience that reinforces word recognition and pronunciation. This tool unlocks reading access for children at various proficiency levels, allowing them to engage with more complex narratives than they might tackle independently.
New Series: Expanding the Canon
We will introduce series covering History, Armenian Literature, Music and Art, and Science—all delivered through the narrative fictional style that makes learning feel like discovery. Importantly, we invite participating school teachers to join the development process, ensuring these series serve actual classroom needs.
